Interbike 2008 innit
Sorry for lack of my blogs over the last week, but I was out at Las Vegas for the 8th time, this time launching Deluxe BMX on American soil – courtesy of our new US distributors, none other than Undrgrnd Distribution. I’m psyched to be working with these guys, as I’ve known Ben for a long time (he used to work at IMG before moving over to the USA), and the UGP / Undrgrnd set-up is dialled and has a lot to offer us; which is awesome. We had a great booth opposite Mirraco, and our products look niiiiiicccccce… here’s a photo.
Three frames, bars, sprockets, softgoods (posh word for T-shirts – that lot on the right hand side is the Summer 2009 UGP range), stickers, brochures, and our heat-treated tea mugs. Those went down a storm…
Also got to spend some good time with Mark Mulville. Mark was there helping out on the Profile booth, as well as repping Deluxe, and is an absolute diamond geezer – as I type this, he’s on a plane somewhere off for a filming trip with Stew Johnson for something that’s coming down the pipe which is going to be extremely interesting… (more soon). Here’s Mark, and his new bike set-up with all-new Profile parts, looking sweet:
Mark’s bike looks totally dialled; we’ll get his bike check on this site soon…
Make no mistake, the Interbike show is a hugely important event in BMX, and if you’re in the trade and you missed it, you missed out. While in Vegas, we did a few web videos at the show for a couple of BMX websites, and they worked out pretty well too. Kyle Carlson put a rad one together for Vital BMX.

Next up, Fat Tony from Ride USA rolled in asking to do a live video feed – LIVE! That threw me a little, especially when his filmer produced the kit they were doing it on – a Nokia N95 mobile phone. So this explains why the clarity isn’t quite there – but still, it was screened online Live.

Profile were launching Mark’s new Push stem as well – these come in either 48mm or 53mm lengths, and in all eleven Profile colours, and they look amazing – here’s the photo:
We’re all getting one of those puppies, hell yeah. Overall, feedback on Deluxe BMX was great… We also shot a load of photos with various magazines and so on, Bart from Fat BMX put up some updates which was great, and keep an eye on the media for more…
