We have been digging a fair bit down Barend and things are starting to come together. Is 2009 the year of the trails – well certainly is from where I’m standing, of course looking through some very biased eyes. Definitely year of the berm in any case.

We have been working our asses off down at the trails and so have a lot of other BMXers at a lot of other spots. This winter trails shouted and the incurring tinnitus will be resonating in the ear of the BMX community. Like a constant whisper from a ghost of the past, the trails call can be heard and as the weather improves and you plan to coast to your nearest council built skate park, forget it. Its time to reclaim BMX for the BMXer. Time to control what you ride and you can start with the simplest of acts. This weekend coast down to your nearest set of trails and start laying the foundations for a great summer, where we ride fast and we fly high.
